The game gives players the ability to manipulate time directly from the new open world - Chronopolis which is the connection of several different places in the Marvel Universe connected by time and space. These places such as Ancient Egypt Medieval England Kun-Lun Mountains Swamp Lemuria New York (Noirny Contemporary and 2099) Asgard Xander Hala Sakaar Attilan Hydra Territory and many other areas Chronopolis. The game will also add a new competitive mode with four players allowing players to simultaneously fight with each other.
Plot
Four years before the events of the first game Kang the Conqueror travels through different time lines and realities conquers and abducts his most beloved cities and then unites them into one place Chronopolis. Due to this various superheroes are taken from their own "houses" and transferred to where they should work together to prevent the threat of Kang the Conqueror who plans to capture not only Chronopolis but the Universe.
